WEST BANGKA - PT Timah continues to be committed to improving the performance of athletes in West Bangka Regency. One of them is by supporting the B3 Fun Swimming Competition 2025 Swimming Championship at the West Bangka Regency Level.
The B3 Fun Swimming Competition 2025 organized by the West Bangka Police in collaboration with the Al Fatih Swimming Club is a forum for swimming athletes to improve competence.
PT Timah supports this championship by facilitating the Tirta Krida Swimming Pool in the Processing and Rifeneri Division housing complex, Mentok District, West Bangka Regency as a competition venue.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Kompol Anwar Panuju, said that the B3 Fun Swimming Competition 2025 aims to produce a superior young generation, especially in the field of swimming.
“Actually, in West Bangka Regency, there are many athletes who have swimming talent, especially since West Bangka is a coastal area. This activity is also a means of gathering young people to think positively and creatively, fighting drugs, terrorism, and banned organizations,” he explained.
He also appreciated PT Timah's support for the success of the championship which was part of the “West Bangka Bersinar Terang” program and the 80th Bhyangkara Anniversary event.
“Thank you for the help of PT Timah for supporting the championship to continue. Hopefully later PT Timah can have a pool that meets the competition standards to make it easier for our athletes to make achievements,” he hoped.
Keisha Hanifa, 1st place winner in the Freestyle Swimming class at the PAUD, 1st and 2nd grade elementary school level, said she was proud of her achievements in this championship.
“Happy, proud to be a champion in this championship, hopefully I can participate in the next championship, and I can become a national athlete,” she hoped.
Senda, M Hafiz Prasetya 1st place Kupu Kupu style in class 9-12 hopes that championships like this will be held more often.
“Hopefully championships like this will be held more often, we thank the committee and PT Timah for supporting swimming athletes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Acting Mentok Sub-District Head Rini Indra Sari appreciated the B3 Fun Swimming Competition 2025 championship.
“This event is to see athletes from swimming, the enthusiasm of athletes is high.Thank you to the committee for organizing the championship and to PT Timah for facilitating, because one of the swimming pools in West Bangka is the PT Timah swimming pool,” she said. (*)
