BANGKA TENGAH — PT TIMAH has begun distributing sacrificial animal assistance to communities in Central Bangka Regency as a form of the company’s social concern ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. The symbolic handover ceremony was held at the Official Residence Hall of the Central Bangka Regent on Friday (22/5/2026).
A total of 20 mosques in various villages across Central Bangka Regency received sacrificial animal assistance from PT TIMAH. The program forms part of the company’s commitment to continuously being present and sharing benefits with communities in its operational areas.
Central Bangka Regent, Algafry Rahman, expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH’s consistency in distributing social assistance to the community, including through the annual sacrificial animal assistance program.
According to him, the assistance provides tangible benefits to the community, especially during Eid al-Adha, when people can enjoy sacrificial meat more evenly because the distribution reaches various regions.
“We, on behalf of the Central Bangka Government, would like to thank PT TIMAH for being highly caring, committed, and consistent in providing support and assistance to the people of Central Bangka,” he said.
He also mentioned that the number of sacrificial animal donations distributed by PT TIMAH this year increased compared to the previous year. In addition to PT TIMAH, several partner companies also participated in distributing sacrificial animal assistance to the community.
Algafry assessed that the synergy established between PT TIMAH and the Central Bangka Regency Government has provided positive impacts in supporting community needs and regional development.
“We hope PT TIMAH will continue to exist, remain caring, and continue helping communities in Bangka Belitung, especially Central Bangka,” he said.
The distribution of sacrificial animal assistance is one of the tangible manifestations of PT TIMAH’s commitment to strengthening the company’s social responsibility while also reinforcing harmonious relations with communities and local governments in its operational areas.
This year, PT TIMAH will distribute a total of 268 sacrificial animals to communities across its operational areas in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, and Jakarta. (*)
