BANGKA SELATAN – The presence of PT Timah's Health Mobile has benefited thousands of people in the company's operational areas. This free healthcare program is considered highly helpful for residents.
PT Timah's Health Mobile is a free healthcare service that travels to various regions to educate people about healthy lifestyles and provide medical check-ups.
This program aligns with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita initiative to strengthen human resource development, science, technology, education, healthcare, sports achievements, gender equality, and the empowerment of women, youth, and people with disabilities.
PT Timah deployed its Health Mobile to serve the residents of Tanjung Ketapang Subdistrict, South Bangka Regency, on Friday (February 28, 2025), making it easier for people to get health check-ups ahead of Ramadan.
Sunarno, the Head of Tanjung Ketapang Subdistrict, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for PT Timah’s quick response in providing free medical treatment to the residents.
"We are very grateful to PT Timah for helping our residents with free medical services. In today's terms, PT Timah is very gercep (quick to act), as proven by the presence of the Health Mobile in Tanjung Ketapang," he said.
Similarly, Sumarni (55), a resident of Tanjung Ketapang, said she found the Health Mobile extremely helpful.
"Going to the hospital is far, and seeing a doctor nearby costs money. So, with PT Timah’s Health Mobile being close and free, I feel greatly helped," she said.
"I hope this mobile service can come every month or even every week for check-ups. I also pray for PT Timah’s continued success so that we can keep receiving free medical services," she added.
Gusirin (65) also shared his appreciation, praising the accommodating and professional service of the Health Mobile.
"Alhamdulillah, I feel helped. The staff here are friendly, the service is accommodating, and the doctors conduct check-ups professionally," he explained.
"I also hope PT Timah will continue to thrive and expand its CSR programs, including the Health Mobile, because the community really needs it," he wished.
The Health Mobile is part of PT Timah’s commitment to improving public health, operating across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province. (*)
