CENTRAL BANGKA -- As part of the 49th Anniversary Community Service activities, PT Timah once again provided free healthcare services to communities in its operational areas through its Mobile Clinic.
After successfully delivering free healthcare services in Kundur, Jakarta, East Belitung, Belinyu, Mentok, Sungailiat, and Toboali, PT Timah this time brought the Mobile Clinic to Central Bangka Regency. The service was held in Kebintik Village, Pangkalan Baru District, Central Bangka Regency, on Thursday (August 21, 2025).
Carrying the theme “For the Red and White,” PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary features a range of social activities including mass circumcisions, blood donations, community clean-ups, and free medical checkups.
The presence of PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic was warmly welcomed by the community. A total of 227 residents came to receive health services at the Mobile Clinic.
Amalia, Head of the Government Section at the Kebintik Village Office, Central Bangka Regency, expressed her gratitude for the free healthcare services brought directly to the village.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful that PT Timah has provided free medical checkups through the Mobile Clinic here in Kebintik. Our residents were eager to come, and since early morning they were already gathering and lining up patiently for their turn,” she said.
Amalia hopes that such activities will continue so that healthcare services can reach all levels of society.
“The enthusiasm of the community is very high, especially among the elderly who feel greatly helped in maintaining their health. Hopefully, this program can be held at least twice a year in our village,” she added.
Rosmini, a Kebintik resident who took advantage of the free services, said she was happy to be able to get checked at PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic.
“I’m glad I could check my health here. I found out that my cholesterol, uric acid, and blood sugar are high. The doctor gave me a prescription and advised me to cut down on salt and fried foods,” she said.
According to her, the service provided by PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic was very pleasant because it was orderly, friendly, and fast.
“From registration, blood tests, doctor’s examination, to receiving the medicine, everything was well-organized and friendly. I’m really happy with PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic. Hopefully, they can come again next month,” she added.
Meanwhile, Aihua, the Head of Neighborhood Unit 03 in Kebintik Village, also admitted that the free healthcare services provided by PT Timah were very helpful for residents in Kebintik and Sampur, as they could receive free medical checkups and quality medicines.
“Today’s free medical checkup at PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic really helped our residents save money. We don’t need to travel far to healthcare facilities—just come to the village hall, wait a bit in line, and go home with good medicine and even groceries. It really helps,” he said.
Aihua also hopes that PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic will continue to regularly provide healthcare services in the area, making it easier for residents to access treatment.
“Hopefully, the Mobile Clinic can come again next month. May PT Timah’s business continue to run smoothly,” he said.
