SAWANG - PT Timah Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the health and well-being of the Indonesian people, particularly those in the company's operational areas.
One of PT Timah's efforts to enhance public health is through the "Mobile Health" program. This free healthcare service program tirelessly provides basic health services to communities in the company's operational areas.
The presence of PT Timah Tbk's Mobile Health unit was warmly welcomed by the residents of Sawang Village, Kundur Barat Subdistrict, on Thursday (December 19, 2024).
Sawang Village Chief, Azman, expressed that the community highly appreciates the arrival of PT Timah Tbk's Mobile Health unit.
"From what I observe, our community highly welcomes the presence of PT Timah's Mobile Health unit, even though it only visits once a year since it rotates around the Kundur area. Even so, it is already great, and the community is very enthusiastic," he said.
PT Timah Tbk's Mobile Health unit not only provides free health services, such as doctor consultations, but also offers free medication for residents in the company's operational areas.
Furthermore, Azman stated that the Mobile Health unit significantly helps the community in terms of healthcare and hopes it can visit more frequently.
"This Mobile Health service greatly assists the community in healthcare. Although we also have health services from the local health center (puskesmas), most of them are limited to posyandu (integrated health posts) activities. Meanwhile, PT Timah's Mobile Health unit also provides free medication for the community. We really hope this Mobile Health unit can visit our area more often," he said.(**)
