PANGKALPINANG -- Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in driving the community's economy, creating job opportunities, and enhancing the quality of human resources.
In line with this, PT Timah Tbk remains committed to encouraging MSME players to move up through the Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK) program. Implemented since 2000, thousands of MSME players in the Operational Areas of PT Timah Tbk in the Bangka Belitung Province, Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, and Jakarta have benefited from the PUMK program.
PT Timah Tbk's efforts for the advancement of MSMEs include supporting capital, mentoring, training, promotion, and marketing of MSME products. The aim is for MSME players to advance.
In the third quarter of 2023 alone, 15 partner businesses of PT Timah Tbk have successfully moved up. PT Timah Tbk continues to encourage MSME players to grow.
These partner businesses of PT Timah Tbk have moved up because they meet various criteria, such as increasing the number of employees, raising loan values, expanding production capacity, increasing turnover, involving the local community in product generation, enhancing product marketing outside the city/country, and obtaining national/international certificates.
Another effort by PT Timah Tbk to assist the progress of MSMEs is to aid in the promotion and marketing of products to increase awareness, which can lead to increased production.
As a member of the mining industry holding company MIND ID, PT Timah Tbk also brings potential partner businesses to market their products in national and international exhibitions. Not stopping there, PT Timah Tbk also provides guidance to partner businesses to develop their ventures.
PT Timah Tbk also markets MSME products through digital platforms, including the BUMN MSME Digital Market (PaDI), enhancing product marketing through Tins Gallery and Galery Serumpun Sebalai.
In 2023, PT Timah Tbk disbursed capital loans for MSMEs amounting to IDR 10 billion, distributed through Bank BRI to hundreds of MSME players in the company's operational areas.
