Promoting MSME Products Through Exhibitions, PT Timah's Initiative to Improve MSME Competitiveness

PANGKALPINANG -- MSMEs are one of the backbones of the national economy, for this reason PT Timah continues to be committed to supporting the growth of MSMEs through various programs. One of them is the promotion of MSME products through various exhibitions.

Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT Timah plays an active role in facilitating the promotion of MSME products, both through organizing exhibitions and providing sales outlets.

Through various exhibitions held at local to national levels, PT Timah provides opportunities for fostered MSMEs and business partners to showcase their products ranging from handicrafts, culinary specialties, to other creative processed products.

In 2024, PT Timah has participated in dozens of exhibitions involving hundreds of MSME products.

Some of the exhibitions that were attended included the Karya Nyata Festival Colors of Culture Festival in Kota Tua Jakarta, and Senggigi Sunset Jazz 2024, PADi UMKM Hybrid Expo & Conference 2024. Kriyanusa and others.

"PT Timah through the PUMK program continues to support the development of MSMEs both in terms of capital, marketing, coaching and promotion. Facilitating MSMEs in exhibitions is expected to help them promote their products," said Department Head Corporate Communication of PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan.

Through this exhibition, MSME players are expected to expand their market reach, build networks, and get direct feedback from consumers regarding their products.

In addition to exhibitions, PT Timah also provides a special space in the form of sales outlets for MSME products such as in BUMN Houses. The presence of these outlets is expected to be a sustainable platform for MSMEs to market products. (*)
