PANGKALPINANG -- As part of its commitment to supporting community economic growth, PT Timah Tbk continues to strengthen its support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By the first half of 2025, PT Timah Tbk had participated in nine exhibitions and expos in various regions to promote products from its fostered MSME partners.
This initiative is part of PT Timah's strategy to expand market access and introduce local superior products to a wider audience, with the aim of helping to increase MSMEs’ revenue.
Various creative products from PT Timah’s fostered MSMEs, such as handicrafts, processed foods, batik, and other distinctive products from the Bangka Belitung region, were showcased at these exhibitions.
PT Timah Tbk has facilitated the participation of its MSME partners in both local and national exhibitions, including Inacraft 2025.
In addition, as a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, the company has also promoted MSME products at events such as the Pangkalpinang Creative Economy Festival, KNPI Ramadan Expo Bazaar, and Specta Culinary Exhibition.
One of PT Timah Tbk’s fostered partners, Siti Dawiyah, who is the head of Batik Pakkis, shared that their women’s group is often invited by PT Timah Tbk to participate in exhibitions to promote their products.
"In addition to capital support, we are also invited to various exhibitions to promote our products. This helps us introduce our creations to the public," she said.
Facilitating fostered partners in various exhibitions is one of the company’s tangible forms of support for MSME development to enhance competitiveness.
PT Timah’s support for MSMEs goes beyond providing capital assistance. It also includes mentoring, training, and facilitating promotional access through various creative economy events and national exhibitions.
This initiative aligns with PT Timah’s commitment to its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which focuses on empowering the local economy by fostering sustainable MSME development and strengthening the role of MSMEs as a backbone of the national economy.
