KARIMUN — PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to support the promotion of MSME products by facilitating its fostered partners to participate in exhibitions. This time, PT TIMAH brought its fostered partners to take part in the MSME Bazaar during the Soft Launching of the Public Service Mall in Karimun Regency.
The MSME Bazaar was held at the Public Service Mall Coastal Area in Tanjung Balai Karimun from Friday to Sunday (29–31/5/2026). PT TIMAH showcased products from its fostered partners, including TINS Batik Kundur and products from the PT TIMAH Fostered MSME Outlet at Tanjung Maqom Port.
The presence of products from PT TIMAH’s fostered MSMEs became one of the main attractions thanks to the wide range of featured products displayed, ranging from batik products, fashion, to local culinary specialties.
One of the fostered partners that attracted visitors’ attention was Rumah Batik Kundur. At the exhibition, they showcased various creative products such as batik fabrics, bags, cardigans, and ready-to-wear fashion items under the TINS Batik Kundur brand.
Rumah Batik Kundur MSME representative, Arman, expressed his gratitude for the valuable opportunity. He explained that his group had only been involved in ecoprint batik crafts for about six months, and this exhibition marked their first-ever participation in a bazaar.
“So far, our market has only been around the Balai area, and we are still trying to find new customers. Usually, inquiries come through WhatsApp and Facebook. Alhamdulillah, through this bazaar fully facilitated by PT TIMAH, we have a great opportunity to promote our products, and on this first day, some products were immediately purchased by visitors,” Arman said enthusiastically.
Arman also expressed high hopes for the sustainability of the partnership program. “Hopefully PT TIMAH will continue to prosper and succeed, and consistently help elevate MSMEs in the Kundur area so they can become more independent,” he added.
In addition to handicraft products, PT TIMAH also brought along a culinary community that regularly fills the PT TIMAH MSME Gallery at Tanjung Makom Port. Gallery representative Ana took advantage of this opportunity by bringing dozens of snack products.
“Today I brought horn banana chips, seaweed potato chips, bird nest cookies, balado potatoes, kembang goyang, and cheesecakes,” Ana said.
For Ana, this was the first time she had been directly invited by PT TIMAH to participate in a major exhibition outside the port gallery. She acknowledged that exhibition facilities like this are very helpful in increasing sales turnover and introducing local snacks to a wider community, especially the seaweed potato chips, which are always sought after by customers.
“This is very helpful in promoting MSME products. The more widely recognized they become, the more we hope it will increase MSME product sales,” she said. (*)
