KARIMUN -- As part of its efforts to support healthy education and shape a young generation with integrity, PT TIMAH Tbk held an Anti-Bullying Awareness and Education Program at SMPN 2 Kundur Utara and SMPN 4 Satu Atap Tebing in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province.
The Anti-Bullying Awareness and Education event was part of the 97th Youth Pledge Day commemoration in 2025, organized by PT TIMAH Tbk together with hundreds of students from the two schools.
Through the event titled “Youth Spirit Awareness and Education, Introduction to PT TIMAH Tbk, Anti-Bullying Education, and Macrame Creativity Workshop,” PT TIMAH Tbk aimed to instill a positive spirit among students, encourage them to understand the importance of a safe social environment, and develop their creative potential through productive activities.
The program was met with great enthusiasm from both students and teachers. They actively participated in various interactive sessions such as company introduction, education on the dangers of bullying, educational games, and a macrame craft workshop that enhanced their creativity.
During the anti-bullying session, PT TIMAH Tbk emphasized the importance of creating a friendly school environment that values diversity and is free from violence. This education was expected to raise students’ awareness about bullying behavior and encourage them to speak up if they experience it.
The Principal of SMPN 4 Satu Atap Tebing, Dila Agustini, expressed her appreciation and gratitude for PT TIMAH Tbk’s concern for education, especially for schools in remote areas.
“Thank you to PT TIMAH Tbk for visiting and sharing valuable knowledge with us. The students learned many important lessons, especially about respecting others and avoiding bullying behavior. This is a very positive initiative,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMPN 2 Kundur Utara, Nurrifda, stated that the awareness activity was very relevant to students’ current situation.
“Bullying can happen anywhere, including in schools. We are very grateful to PT TIMAH Tbk for choosing our school for this activity. Education like this is important so students can understand its impact and learn to respect one another,” she said.
This activity is part of PT TIMAH Tbk’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in education and human resource development. The company consistently carries out various empowerment programs to nurture a resilient, strong-charactered, and competitive young generation in support of realizing the Golden Generation 2045 vision.
