KARIMUN -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to prioritize the health and well-being of communities and employees within its operational areas. One of the measures implemented is the routine conduct of fogging activities to help prevent the spread of dengue fever (DHF).
The fogging program carried out by PT TIMAH’s Kundur Area Division covers a number of strategic locations, including employee housing complexes, office areas, diesel power plant facilities, Balai Karya, schools, places of worship, and other public facilities surrounding the Company’s operational environment.
The initiative is part of the Company’s efforts to support the creation of a healthy environment while preventing dengue outbreaks, particularly during the rainy season, when mosquito breeding tends to increase.
Amsir, Head of Neighborhood Association (RW) 08 at the PT TIMAH Residential Complex in West Kundur, stated that the routine fogging activities provide a sense of security for residents, especially during the rainy season.
“We would like to thank PT TIMAH for consistently carrying out fogging activities in our residential area. This program is very beneficial for the community, and we hope that no residents will be affected by dengue fever,” he said.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Jaswadi, one of the residents of the housing complex. According to him, fogging is an important preventive measure to minimize the risk of dengue transmission in their neighborhood.
“We feel more at ease knowing that preventive efforts are being carried out regularly. In addition, residents actively work together to clean drainage channels and the surrounding environment, especially during the rainy season,” he said.
Through preventive healthcare initiatives such as routine fogging, PT TIMAH continues to support the improvement of public health in its operational areas. This effort also reflects the Company’s commitment to creating a healthy, safe, and sustainable environment for surrounding communities. (*)
