Preserving the Seven Likur Customs in Mancung Village, PT Timah Tbk Participates in Maintaining Traditions in the Month of Ramadan

WEST BANGKA -- Seven Likur has become a hereditary tradition carried out by the community in Mancung Village, West Bangak Regency in the month of Ramadan. This tradition is carried out to commemorate the night of Lailatur Qadar.

PT Timah Tbk is collaborating with the Mancung Village Government to support the implementation of the seven Likurs in Mancung Village which has become an annual agenda.

The head of the organizing committee for the Tujuj Likur activities in Mancung Village Novinda Riyanza Agatha said the Seven Likur tradition aims to preserve traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.

For this reason, they also held various competitions such as the call to prayer competition, Muslim fashion competition, Tartil Quran competition, and short letter memorization competitions.

"PT Timah routinely assists in Seven Likur activities every year in Mancung Village. We would like to thank PT Timah for helping with our activities. In the future, we hope this collaboration can continue," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Mancung Village Herlizon said that the Tujuj Likur activity in Mancung Village could only be held again, because the previous year it was not held due to the impact of Covid-19.

"This year the Seven Likur in Mancung village can only be implemented, because for three years it has not been carried out due to the impact of Covid-19," he said.

He conveyed his appreciation to PT Timah for supporting the Seven Likur activities in their village. (*)
