WEST BANGKA -- As a form of empowerment and supporting the food security of the residents, PT Timah Tbk handed over 200 fruit plant seeds to the residents of Teluk Rubiah, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency.
The delivery of fruit plant seeds is also an effort to preserve biodiversity.
The delivery of this seed assistance coincided with the activities of a people's party commemorating the 16th anniversary of the Rubiah Bay Youth and Community Communication Forum (FKPMTR) which was held in the Bozem Tourism Area RW 015 Teluk Rubiah sub-district of Tanjung Bangka Barat on Tuesday (27/12/2022).
Apart from distributing hundreds of fruit seeds, PT Timah Tbk also participated in supporting the people's party by handing over various prizes in this activity.
This activity was opened directly by the Regent of West Bangka H. Sukirman. He said the people's party shows the cohesiveness of society.
"The People's Party shows that the community is united, holding any activities will definitely materialize. We give appreciation to the residents, committee, our donors PT Timah, and other sponsors. Let's foster unity in our region so that we can realize our goals," said the Regent.
FKMPTR Chairman Wahyudi said PT Timah fully supports the People's Party commemorating the 16th anniversary of FKPMTR.
"PT Timah supports activities in the form of funding, equipment, door prizes, as well as providing fruit seeds for the community," he said.
His party also appreciates PT Timah which has fully supported this activity.
"We are collaborating with PT Timah by holding community activities. Hopefully, in the future, the collaboration will continue well," he said
In the same vein, the Head of RT 01 RW 015 Maryati hopes that PT Timah will continue to support the activities of the residents of Rubiah Bay.
"We thank PT Timah and all parties who have contributed to support this activity. In the future we really hope for their contribution to return to our village Teluk Rubiah," said Maryati
Meanwhile, Sahnaz (7), a resident of Teluk Rubiah, the winner of the main prize for a bicycle unit, said she was happy with the People's Party activities.
"Alhamdulillah, I'm happy to get the main prize. Hopefully, this event will continue to be held and get more prizes," said Sahnaz, a student at SDN 21 Muntok.
