BELITUNG — PT TIMAH once again demonstrated its concern for the community by distributing sacrificial animal assistance for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah on Belitung Island.
This year, PT TIMAH distributed a total of 46 sacrificial cows to various villages and mosques across Belitung Island. Of the total, 22 cows were distributed in Belitung Regency and 24 cows in East Belitung Regency.
The sacrificial animal assistance forms part of the company’s annual program to share the joy of Eid al-Adha while strengthening relationships with communities in the company’s operational areas.
Head of Air Buntar Hamlet, Membalong Village, Belitung Regency, Bela Fahira, said the community was grateful for the sacrificial cow assistance from PT TIMAH. This year, the hamlet received one cow from the company.
According to her, the assistance was the first ever received by the residents of Air Buntar Hamlet and greatly helped the community, especially as the number of beneficiary families reached hundreds of households.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful and thankful to PT TIMAH for this sacrificial cow assistance. The more cows distributed, the more people can benefit from it,” she said.
She expressed hope that PT TIMAH would continue to grow and once again share with the community in the coming years.
“Thank you PT TIMAH. Hopefully next year the company will become even more successful and continue sharing with the community,” she added.
Similar appreciation was expressed by the Chairman of the Ar Rahim Mosque Management Board (DKM) in Pesak Hamlet, Simpang Pesak Village, Wawan. He stated that the sacrificial cow assistance from PT TIMAH was the first ever received by the mosque.
“Alhamdulillah, so far the sacrificial cow assistance has only come from PT TIMAH. We are very grateful because the company operating in Simpang Pesak is also present and sharing with the community,” he said.
According to Wawan, the community has also benefited from various social assistance programs from PT TIMAH, and he hopes that caring programs such as sacrificial animal distribution will continue in the future.
“Hopefully social assistance programs like this will continue and provide benefits to the community,” he concluded. (*)
