*TINS Wins Three Awards
JAKARTA -- President Director of PT Timah Tbk Achmad Ardianto won the BUMN and BUMN Subsidiaries category award as Visionary CEO/CEO with the Best Vision in the 2023 BUMN Award held by BUMN Track.
In addition, PT Timah Tbk also won appreciation as a BUMN Company and a BUMN Subsidiary in the Organizational Transformation Category and the MSME Development Category.
These three awards were received by PT Timah Tbk Corporate Secretary Abdullah Umar in the 2023 BUMN Award Night which was held at the Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/3/2023).
The BUMN Award is an appreciation to the CEOs and BUMN companies who are taking part in the growth of the company's performance. The 2023 BUMN Award, which is entering its 12th year, carries the theme "Acceleration of Digital Transformation, Innovation and BUMN Business Recovery".
Tanri Abeng, MBA, chairman of the 2023 BUMN Award Jury Board and the first Minister of BUMN, said that the winner of The Best CEO was not only seen from the increase in company performance, but was also associated with qualified leadership in managing business strategy in an endemic transition era. The categories set are CEO Visionary, Strategic Orientation, Driving Execution and Talent Development.
"The BUMN Award winners actually have the capacity to become cabinet members. Because BUMN directors have more complete competencies which are the main capital in leadership, "said Tanri Abeng.
BUMN Track CEO SH Sutarto explained, as many as 104 BUMN companies participated in the 2023 BUMN Award. This number narrowed to 73 companies that passed the second stage of selection in the form of corporate presentations.
Meanwhile, 45 BUMN Main Directors and BUMN Subsidiaries competed to be the best CEOs through interviews in the third stage of the judging.
"Through the 2023 BUMN Award, BUMN Track as a media that has been verified by the Press Council seeks to communicate the results of BUMN's positive performance in terms of transformation strategy, innovation, talent management, implementation of corporate governance to MSME development," said SH Sutarto.
He explained that the selected participants had taken part in the first stage of selection in the form of document assessment or supporting data. The second stage is in the form of an online presentation session by company representatives who have passed the first stage of the selection. While the third stage was in the form of a CEO presentation which was declared to have passed the second stage of the selection.
"Supported by an assessment team by PPM Management, the Jury involved in this event has very adequate expertise, capability, credibility and reputation in the fields of Corporate Governance (GCG), finance and leadership, with a composition of elements including academics, researchers, practitioners and media," he said.
Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary of PT Timah Tbk, Abdullah Umar said, PT Timah Tbk continues to strive to improve the Company's performance in carrying out the mandate from the state to manage natural resources in the form of tin to provide benefits to the Government, State and society.
"This appreciation is our motivation to continue to drive performance, to take strategic steps in managing tin natural resources as assigned by the state to us," he said. (*)
