JAKARTA -- The splendor of PT Timah's Month of Service to welcome its 48th Anniversary is still continuing in several areas. Jakarta is the fourth location for the Month of Service which has been held since the end of last June.
The series of PT Timah Month of Service activities in Jakarta took place at the PT Timah Representative Office in Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/7/2024). Since morning, dozens of people have been seen arriving to take part in the mass circumcision.
Mass circumcision is an annual routine activity held by PT Timah to welcome the company's anniversary. Welcoming its 48th anniversary, PT Timah is carrying the theme 'Moving Compactly'.
PT Timah's mass circumcision activity in Jakarta was also attended by the Director of Business Development of PT Timah Dicky Octa Zahriadi and the Director of Human Resources Hendra Kusuma Wardana.
A total of 48 children took part in this mass circumcision, one of whom was a person with a disability who took part in this annual routine activity held by members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding.
PT Timah's Director of Business Development, Dicky Octa Zahriadi, said that the Month of Service was held to welcome the 48th anniversary and was one of the company's efforts to provide benefits to the surrounding community.
"Thank God, the PT Timah representative office in Jakarta is currently implementing the Month of Service which is part of the celebration of PT Timah's 48th anniversary. We hope that with the presence of this month of service, PT Timah as one of the holding members of the mining industry can benefit the surrounding community, especially the Indonesian people," said Dicky.
Meanwhile, one of the Genta mass circumcision participants said he was very happy to be able to take part in the mass circumcision from PT Timah. In fact, he had been preparing since 4 in the morning.
"I'm happy because this is my own wish. I have been preparing since 4 in the morning for breakfast and everything else and I arrived here this morning. Thank you PT Timah for holding this," he said.
Meanwhile, Genta's parent, Catur, said he found out about this mass circumcision activity from his colleague's post. So he tried to register his children to take part in this activity.
"If you have to circumcise yourself at a clinic, the cost is quite expensive, having an activity like this is very helpful and impressive for me. Hopefully, this activity can continue because it is very helpful for the less fortunate in society. Good luck to PT Timah in advancing Indonesia, " he said.
The same thing was conveyed by Iga Sinaputri, Bintang's parents who come from Pesing, West Jakarta. Iga said he learned about PT Timah's mass circumcision program from social media.
According to him, his son, who has a disability, wanted to be circumcised two years ago. However, due to financial constraints, they were forced to postpone their children's wishes.
"Actually, my child has been asking for it since two years ago, because of economic constraints. Maybe this can only be done for my child in 2024 and his child also really wants it," he said.
He hopes that in the future this program can continue so that more people can feel the benefits of this program.
"Hopefully it can continue, because this is very helpful, especially in the current economic conditions. Hopefully, PT Timah will carry out this activity more regularly and PT Timah will continue to be successful," he hoped. (*)
