KUNDUR -- The spirit of strengthening the culture of occupational safety and health (OHS/K3) continues to be promoted by PT TIMAH Tbk. During the National OHS Month 2026 Grand Assembly held in the operational area of Kundur, PT TIMAH Tbk presented awards to employees and business partners who demonstrated outstanding performance in implementing safety and health practices.
In addition, PT TIMAH Tbk also presented prizes to the winners of the National OHS Month competitions that had previously been held in Pangkalpinang and the Kundur Division Area from January 27–30, 2026. Meanwhile, the Grand OHS Assembly, conducted on Monday (February 9, 2026), marked the peak of the National OHS Month series of activities.
The awards were handed directly by PT TIMAH Tbk President Director Restu Widiyantoro to the recipients. On this occasion, Restu also reminded employees to remain committed to implementing an OHS culture across all levels of the company.
This activity served as both appreciation and motivation for all employees to make OHS a daily work culture, not merely an administrative obligation. Through a participatory and competitive approach, PT TIMAH Tbk encourages the active involvement of every work unit in creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
As a form of recognition, PT TIMAH Tbk granted awards in nine categories: Best SCM Directorate, Best SMKP Implementation, Best Subsidiary, Best Occupational Health Performance, Most Favorite Occupational Health Performance, Best PJO, Healthy Timah Personnel, Personnel with the Highest Mandatory Observation Reports, and Best Voluntary Observation Reporting Personnel.
These awards were presented to work units and individuals who consistently demonstrated commitment, compliance, and tangible contributions in supporting the implementation of the mining safety management system and occupational health standards.
One of the recipients of the Healthy Timah Personnel award in the Women Under 40 category, Indah Hapriyani from the Belitung Division Area, emphasized that safety must always be the top priority, especially in the mining industry, which carries high risks.
“When it comes to safety, it’s non-negotiable, especially in the PT TIMAH Tbk work environment, which has high risks. We must always prioritize safety in every task. If there is a potential hazard, it’s better to stop and fix it before continuing,” she said.
She also shared tips on maintaining good health to stay productive at work. According to her, a healthy lifestyle is a crucial foundation for strong performance.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful to receive the Healthy Timah Personnel award. I believe that when our bodies are healthy, we can complete our work well and efficiently. Right now, I practice intermittent fasting with specific eating windows. Healthy habits like consuming real food should be encouraged among employees,” she added.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Eddy, an employee of the HSSE Division in the Kundur Area who is part of the winning team in the Timah Fire and Rescue Challenge. He believes that an OHS culture must become a daily habit, especially for emergency response teams.
“For me, workplace safety comes first. An OHS culture must be practiced every day, especially for us who serve as the PT TIMAH Tbk fire and rescue team,” he said.
Eddy added that his team also actively provides education to communities around the Kundur operational area.
“We regularly conduct training and education sessions, from early childhood students to the general public, so everyone understands basic self-rescue procedures during emergencies,” he explained.
Through the series of National OHS Month activities, PT TIMAH Tbk reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthening a culture of safety as the foundation of its operations.
With the collaboration of all employees and business partners, the company hopes to create a more reliable, productive, and accident-free work environment, in line with its efforts to achieve sustainable mining operations.
