This activity is an effort to foster harmonious behavior in accordance with the AKHLAK Core Values ??and build social business partnerships.
Through the Inspiration Class, PT Timah introduces the company's business processes to students, provides motivation, shares employee experiences and provides tips for self-development, study skills, and good time management.
PT Timah's Head of Corporate Communications, Anggi Siahaan, explained that the employee volunteering program involves management and employees to carry out acts of kindness that are beneficial to society and the community.
"PT Timah continues to harmonize with various levels of society, including students. The employee volunteering program is a real step for PT Timah employees to take part in supporting the education sector," said Anggi.
Meanwhile, Acting Principal of North Kundur 2 Middle School, Nurrifda, said that his students were very enthusiastic about taking part in the Inspiration Class for PT Timah employees.
According to him, this activity provides an overview for students who want and are interested in pursuing a career in a mining company. Moreover, there are already SMPN 2 Kundur Utara alumni who are already working at PT Timah.
"There are many things that students learn, such as about PT Timah and the history of tin mining in Indonesia in any area where tin is found," he said.
Nurrifda added that this activity is very supportive and includes environmental education around the school because tin mining is in the Kundur Island area.
"We hope that this activity can inspire and increase knowledge about tin mines on Kundur and Pangkalpinang Islands," he said. (*)
