No Need to Travel or Spend Money, Belinyu Residents Flock to PT TIMAH's Free Healthcare Services

BANGKA -- The free healthcare services provided as part of PT TIMAH Tbk's 50th Anniversary celebration, held at Stania Hall in Belinyu on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, were met with overwhelming enthusiasm from residents eager to have their health checked.

A total of 161 Belinyu residents received free healthcare services through PT TIMAH's 50th Anniversary program, held under the theme "Timah untuk Rakyat" (Tin for the People).

In addition to receiving medical examinations, residents were also able to consult directly with healthcare professionals about the health concerns they were experiencing.

From the moment the service opened, residents arrived in large numbers to take advantage of the free medical care. The program was highly appreciated because it brought healthcare services closer to the community, saving residents both time and travel expenses while eliminating the cost of medical consultations.

One of the beneficiaries was Nuryati (67), a resident of Belinyu, who used the service to have several health concerns examined.

"I am very grateful for today's health checkup. I was able to receive treatment and have my cholesterol, blood pressure, and dizziness checked. The service was excellent, and the medical staff were very friendly. Thank you to PT TIMAH for providing these free healthcare services for us," Nuryati said.

A similar experience was shared by Firdaus (57). He said he had been suffering from recurring dizziness for the past three months. Thanks to the free healthcare service, he was finally able to have his condition examined and consult directly with a doctor.

"I've been experiencing dizziness quite often over the past three months. After seeing the doctor today, Alhamdulillah, I'm already feeling better, and I was given medication. I hope programs like this continue because they are incredibly helpful, especially in terms of saving us time, travel, and expenses," Firdaus said.

Earlier, PT TIMAH also provided free healthcare services for residents in Sungailiat, Bangka Regency, where the program likewise received an enthusiastic response from the community. (*)
