ACEH -- The Emergency Response Group (ERG) of PT TIMAH Tbk once again took action to distribute assistance to communities affected by disasters in Aceh Tamiang Regency on Thursday (12/11/2025).
In collaboration with the ESDM Disaster Response Post, the ERG Team of PT TIMAH Tbk delivered logistical aid to the Sungai Kanan area, Kuala Simpang, Kampung Sekumur, Sekerak District, Aceh Tamiang Regency. Using boats and navigating along the river, the ERG Team transported supplies to reach and assist local residents.
The ERG Team of PT TIMAH Tbk distributed aid including rice, sugar, instant noodles, eggs, canned sardines, cooking oil, baby formula, diapers, sanitary pads, bathing soap, and toothbrushes. This assistance is expected to help ease the burden on the community and meet basic needs during the post-flood recovery period.
The aid was provided to disaster-affected residents who are still experiencing limited access to basic necessities due to the flooding.
In addition to distributing logistics, the ERG Team of PT TIMAH Tbk also carried out direct action by helping clean residents’ homes around the evacuation post area.
These activities included removing mud and flood debris, tidying up yards and living areas, light disinfectant spraying to reduce the risk of disease, and transporting waste to designated disposal points. Through these efforts, the residential environment became cleaner, healthier, and ready to be reoccupied.
The presence of ERG PT TIMAH Tbk at the disaster site is part of the company’s commitment to always be present for the community, especially in emergency situations.
Chairman of ERG PT TIMAH Tbk, Ali Samsuri, stated that the ERG Team of PT TIMAH Tbk continues to distribute assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
