National OSH Month Commemoration at PT TIMAH Tbk North Bangka Area Features Simulations and Awards

BANGKA -- In commemoration of National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Month 2026, PT TIMAH Tbk continues to strengthen its commitment to implementing a sustainable OSH culture across all operational lines. One of these efforts was carried out through the National Movement Roll Call (GERNAS) for National OSH Month 2026 in the North Bangka Division area on Wednesday (February 4, 2026).

The GERNAS National OSH Month roll call was attended by management, employees, and business partners of PT TIMAH Tbk, serving as a moment to reinforce their shared commitment to creating a safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable work environment.

The Head of the North Bangka Division Area, Rahendra, who served as the roll call inspector, delivered the remarks of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Yassierli, Ph.D.

In his remarks, the Minister of Manpower emphasized that the commemoration of National OSH Month is not merely a ceremonial agenda, but a national moment of reflection to strengthen the protection of Indonesian workers.

He also stated that OSH should not be viewed solely as a regulatory obligation, but as a fundamental value that ensures every worker can return home safely without compromising productivity.

The series of National OSH Month activities in the North Bangka Area also included a simulation on handling workers exposed to hazardous and toxic waste (B3) as part of efforts to enhance emergency preparedness.

In addition, the commemoration of National OSH Month 2026 in the North Bangka Area was marked by the presentation of awards to safety personnel who demonstrated high dedication. One of them was the Lifetime Dedication in Emergency Response award, presented to Kusamanto, a PT TIMAH fire hazard response officer who has served since 2018.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful for this appreciation. This award has never been my goal, as everything I have done has simply been to carry out my duties and the trust given by the company,” said Kusmanto.

The award reflects that the implementation of OSH at PT TIMAH is not only present in policies and procedures, but also lives in the dedication and care of workers in the field.

The momentum of National OSH Month is also seen as an opportunity to strengthen synergy with business partners. The President Director of CV Rajawali Sakti Bangka, Bayu Perdana Putra, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiastic and committed execution of the OSH Month activities.

“The implementation of National OSH Month has been outstanding. The enthusiasm of the leaders and colleagues at PT TIMAH Tbk shows real commitment. We hope this momentum will be maintained so that OSH implementation is truly applied across all PT TIMAH Tbk mining permit areas, especially in the mining industry, which carries high risks,” he said.
