National Defense Council Reviews MBG Program in Belitung Regency, PT TIMAH Distributes Eating Utensils and Stationery to Students of SDN 24 Tanjungpandan

BELITUNG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to support government programs aimed at improving the quality of human resources. This time, PT TIMAH provided school supplies and eating utensils to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

PT TIMAH Tbk distributed hundreds of sets of eating utensils, notebooks, and tumblers to hundreds of students at SDN 24 Tanjungpandan, Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, in conjunction with a visit by the National Defense Council (DPN), which was monitoring the effectiveness of the Free Nutritious Meals program in Belitung on Friday (November 28, 2025).

During the visit, the Deputy for Geo-economics of the National Defense Council, Dr. Yayat Ruyat, M.Eng., and his team engaged in a casual dialogue with the students. He gave the children an opportunity to share their thoughts about the implementation of the MBG program at their school and the benefits they have experienced.

In addition to the discussion, the team also invited the children to write messages, prayers, and expressions of gratitude related to the MBG program. The students enthusiastically welcomed this activity.

“Please feel free to write your words of thanks or impressions and messages regarding the MBG program to the SPPG or the school principal,” said Yayat.

This support is part of PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to contributing to national strategic programs, especially those related to improving nutrition, health, and education for children as the nation’s future generation.

The Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT TIMAH Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, stated that PT TIMAH Tbk remains committed to supporting the education sector and improving human resources in its surrounding operational areas.

“PT TIMAH Tbk consistently supports government strategic programs that focus on improving human resource quality. Through the provision of school supplies and eating utensils for students, we hope to help strengthen the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Anggi.

Anggi added that PT TIMAH Tbk hopes synergy between the central government, local government, and the business sector will further strengthen the sustainability of the MBG Program so that its benefits can be increasingly felt by the community, especially students in the company’s operational areas.

“PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to play an active role in supporting human resource development and efforts to improve community welfare through various corporate sustainability programs,” Anggi concluded. (*)
