KARIMUN -- PT Timah once again presents livable houses for people in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. Together with Kodim 0317/TBK, PT Timah helped realize Nasir's dream of having a safe and comfortable place to live.
Nasir, a resident of Gemuruh Village, Bukit Senang, Kundur Subdistrict, admitted that he could finally sleep peacefully and comfortably after his house was renovated by PT Timah and Kodim 0317/TBK.
He also expressed his gratitude for the concern of the company and the TNI for helping his family. In the midst of mediocre economic conditions, it was difficult for him to be able to repair his house.
“I would like to thank PT Timah for cooperating with Kodim 0317/TBK for renovating my house, I can sleep peacefully and comfortably, I thank you,” he said.
Meanwhile, Commander of Kodim 0317/TBK, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Ida Bagus Putu Mudita, expressed his appreciation for PT Timah's active role in supporting the welfare of the community through the livable house construction program.
“We really appreciate the real steps of PT Timah which not only focuses on its business activities, but also has high concern for the surrounding community,” he said.
According to him, this livable house construction program is very helpful for residents who need a safe and comfortable place to live. This is a clear example of how the business world can make a positive contribution and directly benefit the community.
“We hope that social programs like this can continue and even expand its reach. Not only in Gemuruh Village, but also to other areas in Kundur and surrounding areas. The synergy between the business world, officials, and the community must continue to be strengthened, in order to realize a better and more sustainable social life,” he hoped.
PT Timah continuously implements a livable house program for communities in the Company's operational areas. This program is expected to support the improvement of the quality of life of the community and support the Government's program to alleviate poverty.
In 2024, PT Timah has helped build 33 units of livable houses for people in Bangka Belitung Islands Province and Riau Islands Province. (*)
