PANGKALPINANG -- With practiced ease, Tunggal’s hand poured meatballs into bowls as he served PT TIMAH Tbk employees during the Board of Directors Farewell and Welcome event, which was held in a hybrid format from Graha Timah Pangkalpinang on Monday evening (January 26, 2026).
Tunggal was one of six MSMEs involved by PT TIMAH Tbk in this activity. MSMEs from the Pangkalpinang City area appeared enthusiastic in presenting a variety of traditional and modern menu offerings at the event.
The involvement of MSMEs in company activities reflects PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to supporting regional economic growth through the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around the company’s operational areas.
Not only on this occasion, PT TIMAH Tbk consistently involves local MSMEs as partners in various company activities, whether in the provision of products, services, or business promotion.
As conveyed by Tunggal, he has been involved with PT TIMAH Tbk for nearly ten years, frequently participating in company events to serve his meatball products known as Bakso Mas Jhon.
Tunggal usually sells his meatballs in the Kampung Opas area, where many PT TIMAH Tbk employees have become his regular customers.
“It has been a very long time, around ten years. Whenever PT TIMAH Tbk holds events, they purchase from us and invite us to company events such as breaking-the-fast gatherings, company anniversaries, and other events as well,” he said.
Tunggal added that the presence of MSMEs at PT TIMAH Tbk events not only helps sell their products, but also serves as a form of promotion.
“I’m very happy because our revenue increases and our products are also promoted. Hopefully PT TIMAH Tbk continues to grow and holds more events so we can be invited more often. At events like this, our revenue can double,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Muhammad Nurudin, owner of Udin Somay, said he was very pleased that PT TIMAH Tbk involved them in company activities.
“I’m very happy, especially since purchasing power in the community has declined lately and our revenue has decreased. With these orders and being invited to participate, it really helps increase our income,” he said.
For him, PT TIMAH Tbk has brought opportunities and income to MSME actors like himself. He hopes MSMEs will continue to be involved in company activities in the future.
“Not only for major events, sometimes I also receive orders for meeting snacks from PT TIMAH Tbk. Hopefully the company will continue to grow and keep supporting MSMEs,” he said.
The same was expressed by Risma, owner of Dimsum Bu Nathan, who was also involved in this PT TIMAH Tbk activity.
“For almost three years now, I have been receiving orders from PT TIMAH Tbk for company events. Hopefully it will be even more frequent, because it also serves as promotion for our products. Thank you PT TIMAH Tbk for involving MSMEs,” she said.
The involvement of MSMEs in company activities is one of PT TIMAH Tbk’s efforts to provide space for MSMEs to participate in corporate activities, such as catering procurement, souvenir provision, creative products, as well as participation in exhibitions and events organized by the company.
