MSME Bazaar at PT Timah Tbk Healthy Week in Kundur, MSME Turnover Drastic

KARIMUN -- As many as 30 MSMEs in Kundur District seemed to work hard at preparing and arranging their various merchandise at PT Timah Tbk's MSME Bazaar during PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Week activities at the PT Timah Tbk Ceremony Field in Perayun Village, Kundur District, Karimun Regency, Sunday (28 /8/2023).

PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Week activity is a series of PT Timah Tbk's 47th-anniversary activities which carry the theme 'Harmony and Hard Work'.

MSMEs selling at the UMKM Bazaar are PT Timah Tbk's fostered partners and MSME players from Perayun Village, Gemuruh Village, and Perayun BUMDes by selling dozens of types of culinary and products from UMKM.

This UMKM Bazaar activity was also held at four points of the Healthy Week in Pangkalpinang City, Toboali, South Bangka, and East Belitung.

Through this UMKM Bazaar, PT Timah Tbk hopes to help drive the community's economy through UMKM. In addition, I assisted MSMEs in marketing MSME products.

On this occasion, the Main Director of PT Timah Tbk Ahmad Dani Virsal, Head of the Karimun Regency Investment and Integrated Services Service Yosli, and Deputy Chairman of the DPRD Babel Hasanudin also visited the MSME bazaar stand.

The MSMEs Bazaar during PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Week provides blessings for them because if there is a crowd like this their turnover can increase two to three times than usual.

One of PT Timah Tbk's Foster Partners, Rini, a resident of Air Gemuruh, said that having an activity like this could increase their turnover two to three times. Moreover, at this time the participants who attended reached thousands of people.

In this bazaar, he sells several culinary products such as slime, cakes, drinks, and others.

"Usually I sell in the canteen near my house. We are enthusiastic about participating in the MSME Bazaar because events like this are rare and when there is a crowd like this, many people buy three times as much as usual. We also prepare a lot for sale," he said.

She hopes that activities like this are routine so that their turnover can also increase.

"Hopefully there will be frequent activities like this because it is very busy and this really helps us in marketing," She said.

In the same vein, MSME players from Perayun Farida Village said that the UMKM Bazaar from PT Timah Tbk was a blessing for them.

"Alhamdulillah, there are lots of blessings, we are given a place to sell, and we can promote at the same time because there are a lot of them. Of course, the turnover is also increasing," She said.

Not only giving blessings to MSME actors who sell at the stand. But also the toy traders who were around the event.

As stated by Amir, the children's toy seller, with a crowd like this they can sell.

"Usually we only sell when there are people who are invited or in a crowded place. But today there are lots of people who come and hopefully many will buy my toys. Because we are also given the opportunity to sell in this area," She said.

One of the visitors, Zurah, a resident of Gemuruh Village, really appreciated the MSME culinary platform provided by PT Timah Tbk. The reason is, that visitors and participants who take part in this activity can easily get various types of food.

"It's good that the sales here will definitely run out because I'll just shop for processed products for otak-otak, sausages, satay, and others. Because there are so many choices," She said.

Meanwhile, a contemporary drink seller, Muhammad Effendi, said that he usually sells Thaitea and green tea drinks in front of the complex.

He was grateful that during Healthy Week, PT Timah Tbk was involved in marketing their products because many participants bought their products.

According to him, at PT Timah Tbk's healthy week, their income increased by 50 percent compared to normal days.

"Alhamdulillah, this has really helped us MSMEs, we have increased our income. We hope that PT Timah Tbk will routinely carry out this kind of agenda, this will help MSMEs," he said. (*)
