Month of Service for PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary: Hundreds of Opas Indah Residents Benefit from Free Health Services via Mobile Clinic

PANGKALPINANG -- As part of the Month of Service commemorating PT Timah Tbk’s 49th anniversary, the company once again provided free health services to the public through its Mobile Health Unit in Pangkalpinang City.

This time, the Mobile Clinic offered free medical services to residents of Opas Subdistrict, Pangkalpinang, on Friday (August 29, 2025). The initiative was warmly welcomed, with locals flocking to PT Timah’s Mobile Health Unit, stationed at Gang Buntu.

A total of 160 residents made use of the free healthcare services in the Opas Indah area. Similar services had previously been held in other operational regions of the company, benefiting hundreds of people.

Carrying the theme “For Red and White,” PT Timah’s 49th anniversary program includes various social initiatives, such as health check-ups, community clean-up efforts in Opas Indah, and a blood donation drive at Graha Timah Pangkalpinang.

One of the beneficiaries, 67-year-old Tini Suhartini, expressed her gratitude for the health services being brought close to her home, especially since she had several health concerns.

“I’m so happy with this mobile clinic because it’s within walking distance. I can’t ride a motorcycle, so having this nearby is really helpful,” she said.

She hopes PT Timah will continue providing such services in their area, allowing residents to access routine check-ups.

“May PT Timah continue to grow, succeed, and thrive. Please bring the Mobile Clinic here more often,” she added.

Similarly, 70-year-old Hartati said that the free health services greatly eased her access to medical care.

“Alhamdulillah, I’m very grateful for PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic. It’s close, it’s free, and it helps a lot. Hopefully, there will be more services like this in the future,” she said.

Meanwhile, Juni, the Head of Opas Indah Subdistrict, noted the strong enthusiasm from residents.

“Hopefully, this synergy can continue because today the community was very eager to join the free health check-up program. We also had a clean-up activity earlier, where residents worked together to tidy up the roads around Opas Indah,” he said.
