PANGKALPINANG – Pangkapinang City’s Government received 100 of 6m cubic oxygen tubes aid from PT Timah. This oxygen support was given by PT Timah Tbk’s Human Resource Director, Muhammad Rizki to Pangkalpinang City’s Mayor, Maulan Aklil, at Pangkal Pinang City’s Mayor Official Residence, on Monday (6/9/2021).
Pangkalpinang City’s Mayor, Maulan Aklil, or also well known as Molen expressed that this oxygen will be distributed to Depati Hamzah’s Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) which will be used to treat Covid-19 patients.
“Again, today we accepted the donation, as needed this time around, 100 6m cubic oxygen tubes from fellows from PT Timah Tbk. PT Timah has helped us again and again with all of their ability,” said Molen after accepting the auspices.
He admits oxygen is one of the importance of treating Covid-19 patients. With this, PT Timah Tbk also assists the local government to treat patients with their aids. “I representing Pangkalpinang City’s residents say many, many gratitude, as this help is heavily needed for us to handle Covid-19 pandemic, especially for Covid-19 patients,” he said.
He reviewed, PT Timah Tbk has consistently helped Pangkalpinang City’s Government in aiding the Covid-19 pandemic. He hoped so that this synergy can keep on going. “I greatly appreciated. Under Mr. Riza’s leadership, we are prosperous. We wished PT Timah Tbk to gain more profit, be successful, and the City can feel its presence,” he said.
Meanwhile Regional Public Hospital’s Depati Hamzah (RSUD) Director, Dr. Muhammad Fauzan said, the oxygen needed in this hospital reached 100 tubes a day when Covid-19’s case increased in number some times ago. But, he is grateful that now the case has shown a decrease in number, meaning less need for oxygen.
“If (the situation) was like a few weeks ago, our need can reach 100 tubes a day, but the need lessens together with the decrease in patients. Now we only need 30-40 tubes a day. We could keep the oxygen availability with this help from PT Timah Tbk,” he stated.
He mentioned, besides oxygen, PT Timah has support handling Covid-19 by giving a portable washbasin. “PT Timah has helped a lot since the beginning of Covid-19, such as portable washbasin, there was also Personal Protective Equipment (APD). We hope this (support) will keep ongoing,” he closed. (**)
