WEST BANGKA -- To encourage people's economy, PT Timah Tbk empowers community groups.
One form of empowerment carried out by PT Timah Tbk is by providing 500 thousand vaname shrimp fries for seven fishermen assisted by PT Timah Tbk in Bakik Village who are members of the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative, Bakit Village, Parittiga District, West Bangka Regency, Friday (25/2). /2022).
Hundreds thousands of vaname shrimp fries were handed over to each group member's pond. Vaname shrimp fries will be cultivated into eight ponds that are ready.
The chairman of the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative, Bakit Village, Rudiansyah, said that the assistance of 500 thousand vaname shrimp seeds was given by
PT Timah Tbk's CSR, so that it can be developed by the community who are members of the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative. It can be a stimulus to encourage the economy of the community in the local Bakit Village.
"We say many thank you to PT Timah Tbk through the CSR program for providing assistance with 500 thousand Vaname shrimp fries. Our hope is of course, to encourage a more prosperous community economy. Especially, the government is indeed promoting creative economy patterns now, such as one example is the shrimp sector Vaname," he said.
Rudiansyah added, PT Timah Tbk is committed to helping the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative, Bakit Village, Parit Tiga District, West Bangka Regency.
Meanwhile, a fisherman who is also a member of the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative in Bakit Village, Palani, said that he received assistance of 100 thousand Vaname shrimp fries which were stocked into two ponds from CSR PT Timah Tbk.
He said he was very happy with the Vaname shrimp fry that was given.
"Thank God, I thank PT. Timah Tbk for providing us with this Vaname shrimp fries assistance. Hopefully these Vaname shrimp fries will grow, God willing," said Palani.
Meanwhile, the Camat of Parit Tiga Madirisa supports the community empowerment program carried out by PT Timah Tbk which involves the Putra Samudra Producer Cooperative in Bakit Village.
"Thanks to PT Timah because the community has been greatly helped by the CSR program for the assistance of Vaname shrimp," said Madrisa.
In addition, Madirisa hopes that the beneficiaries will be able to manage and cultivate these shrimp well.
