BANGKA TENGAH -- PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to improving public health in its operational areas was once again demonstrated through its Mobile Health Care service, which this time visited the South Cambai Village Office, Central Bangka Regency, on Friday (November 14, 2025).
This free healthcare service offered basic medical checkups such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings, as well as consultations with a general practitioner. The Mobile Health Care PT TIMAH Tbk program was warmly welcomed by the local community.
The Mobile Health Care PT TIMAH Tbk provided basic health examinations, health education, and free medication. A total of 91 residents took advantage of this opportunity to receive medical checkups.
The Secretary of South Cambai Village, Yudi, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Mobile Health Care PT TIMAH Tbk, which he said has greatly helped the community.
“Alhamdulillah, with this mobile health care service, our community is greatly helped. This free healthcare program is truly beneficial. Thank you, PT TIMAH Tbk,” he said.
Yudi hopes the service can be scheduled regularly, considering the community’s high need for easy and affordable access to healthcare.
“I hope this cooperation continues and that the free medical services can be scheduled periodically. The presence of the mobile health care unit makes it easier for residents to seek treatment close to home,” he added.
Similarly, Acit (58), one of the residents who used the service, said he received a lot of health information after his checkup.
“Alhamdulillah, I had my blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and stomach checked. The doctor said my cholesterol was high, so I have to cut down on fried foods,” he shared. “Thank you, PT Timah. I hope the mobile health care service visits more often. I’m very happy to receive treatment here.”
Suderi (40), a construction worker, also felt helped after consulting directly with the doctor.
“I got checked because of a cough, cold, and itching. The doctor advised me to wear a mask while working so I can recover faster. The service was good, and I received free medicine,” he said.
He hopes the Mobile Health Care PT TIMAH Tbk program can reach even more villages so that more people can access healthcare easily.
“I hope PT TIMAH Tbk continues to prosper, and may everyone involved be blessed with good health. It would be great if they could visit more villages so people can get free and nearby medical services,” he concluded.
