Mini Zoo Kundur Park Becomes an Educational Destination About Animals, Residents Can See Various Animals Such as Spotted Deer

KARIMUN -- Mini Zoo Kundur Park is one of the educational tourist destinations for people in Karimun Regency. The Kundur Park Mini Zoo, which is managed by PT Timah Tbk, has various types of animals such as spotted deer.

Apart from spotted deer, there are many other animals that can be seen at PT Timah Tbk's Kundur Park Mini Zoo, such as rabbits, pigeons, iguanas, love birds and peacocks, and other animals.

"The most numerous of these are indeed spotted deer, with a population of 16, and their growth is also quite good, the population continues to increase because it is developing well and will even increase because some are pregnant," said one of the supervisors of Mini Zoo Kundur Park Sarifuddin.

According to Sarifuddin Mini Zoo, Kundur Park is one of the places visited by many residents. Especially during holidays the number of visitors is increasing so he hopes there will be additional animals and renovation of areas that have been damaged.

Sarifuddin said that apart from seeing animals, Mini Zoo Kundur Park is also a recreation area for the community.

"Every Saturday and Sunday holiday, many people visit the Kundur Park mini zoo. Apart from seeing the deer, sometimes there are people who deliberately eat together with their families by spreading mats and bringing their own supplies," he said.

One of the Danish visitors from Ungar Island said he deliberately brought his children and family to see the animals here, such as deer. The reason is that their children are happy even though the distance from home is quite far.

"This is an educational tool for children to see first-hand animals that so far may only be seen on a glass screen," he said.

According to him, they are pleased because on Kundur Island only the Kundur Park Mini Zoo has a place to see animals directly.

"On Kundur Island itself, there is nothing like this, only in Kundur Park we can see it firsthand. The hope is that more and more other animals can be developed here," he said. (*)
