BANGKA -- MIND ID and PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continue to strengthen their commitment to education through the MINDucation program, designed to help Pemali Boarding School students prepare for higher education.
MINDucation is a collaborative initiative between MIND ID, PT TIMAH, and Ruangguru that has been running since 2024. Entering its third year, the program officially continued through the Graduation & Onboarding Ceremony of MINDucation x TIMAH, themed "Pass It Forward – One Step Closes, One Step Begins," held at the PT TIMAH Learning Center in Bangka Regency on Wednesday (August 5, 2026).
The event marked the graduation of the 2025/2026 MINDucation cohort while welcoming the new 2026/2027 participants. It was attended by MIND ID Division Head of CSR Satya Nugraha, PT TIMAH Division Head of CSR Rahmat Taufik, Ruangguru Senior Manager Lathifah Fauziyyah, SMAN 1 Pemali Principal Eflina, and dozens of Grade XI and XII students from PT TIMAH's Pemali Boarding School.
MINDucation is designed to equip students with both academic and non-academic competencies as preparation for university entrance examinations. The program represents a concrete commitment by MIND ID and PT TIMAH to support Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045.
MIND ID Division Head of CSR Satya Nugraha said that MINDucation reflects the collaboration between MIND ID and PT TIMAH in providing Pemali Boarding School students with better educational access and stronger preparation for higher education.
"We initiated this program in 2024, and today we are entering its third year. We hope it continues to benefit the students of Pemali Boarding School, especially in preparing them for university," he said.
He explained that 72 students participated in the previous year's program, with many Grade XII participants successfully gaining admission to state universities. According to him, these achievements demonstrate the positive impact of the mentoring provided through MINDucation.
The program offers Grade XI and XII students opportunities to strengthen their academic abilities, develop discipline, improve time management skills, and cultivate perseverance throughout the university admission process.
"This event is more than just a ceremony. It is designed to motivate students, develop critical thinking, strengthen determination, foster discipline, and build resilience," he added.
Learning support is also provided through Ruangguru's educational platform, including online learning, live teaching sessions, practice exams, mentoring, and personalized guidance.
Ruangguru Senior Manager Lathifah Fauziyyah said the program provides participants with a structured learning journey throughout an entire year before they begin the next stage of their academic careers.
"After 12 months of dedication and hard work, today we celebrate the graduation of the 2025/2026 cohort while welcoming the 2026/2027 cohort. Through practice exams, mentorship, and various learning support programs, students receive the preparation they need to face university entrance selection," she said.
She encouraged the new participants to stay motivated throughout the program and make full use of all the learning resources available.
For both current participants and alumni, MINDucation offers more than academic lessons—it also provides valuable experiences and effective strategies for preparing for university entrance examinations.
One of the program's alumni, Hikmal Hamsyah, encouraged the new participants to make the most of the opportunity they have been given.
"Opportunities don't come twice. When you have one, seize it and give it your all. To all the younger students, make the most of every facility and opportunity available," he said.
Another alumnus, Rizki Setiawan, shared a similar message. According to him, MINDucation is an excellent program, but its true benefits can only be achieved through consistency.
"This program is outstanding, but consistency is the key. Make the most of it and maximize every opportunity," he said.
Meanwhile, Grade XI student Gevan Stefanus said MINDucation and Ruangguru have greatly supported his learning experience. He has been able to use the platform to study subjects in advance and catch up on lessons he had not fully understood at school.
"When I started using the Ruangguru application in Grade XI, it helped me tremendously. The materials are comprehensive, allowing me to study ahead and review topics I hadn't fully mastered in class," he said.
Gevan hopes the program will continue so that more students can benefit from the opportunities and insights it provides in preparing for their future.
He aspires to study Occupational Therapy at the University of Indonesia (UI).
Another participant, Ulfia Maharani, also shared that MINDucation has helped her prepare for Indonesia's Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK). Now in Grade XI, she has begun developing her study strategy to achieve her goal of entering her preferred university and academic program.
According to Ulfia, Ruangguru's learning features have helped her better understand challenging subjects while allowing her to catch up on lessons she previously struggled with. She hopes to pursue a degree in Psychology at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI).
"I hope to stay motivated and, most importantly, remain consistent throughout this program so I can achieve my goals," she said. (*)
