MIND ID Strengthens Position in Global Market, PT TIMAH and Yunnan Tin Collaborate 

CHINA -- Member of the Indonesian Mining Industry Holding BUMN MIND ID, PT TIMAH Tbk has established strategic cooperation with Yunnan Tin Co., Ltd. to strengthen the company's position in the global market mutually.

With a focus on continuing to improve efficiency and competitiveness, this cooperation includes the utilization of mineral resources, mining, smelting and refining technology, international trade, information exchange, and downstream product development.

This collaboration between the two largest tin producers was signed by PT TIMAH President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal and Yunnan Tin President Luke Liu, and witnessed directly by MIND ID President Director Hendi Prio Santoso in Yunnan-Kunming, on Friday (23/8/2024).

Hendi Prio Santoso said that the company is proactive in encouraging Group Members to establish strategic alliances for new downstream business expansion.

The reason is that this step can open up opportunities to increase capabilities and new, more effective technology for future mineral mining operations.

"We really appreciate the strategic collaboration that PT TIMAH has implemented with Yunnan Tin. We are sure that this collaboration will be able to provide added value for the tin industry in the future," he concluded.

Meanwhile, PT Timah President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal said that the company together with Yunnan Tin wants to share technical knowledge, expertise, and best practices in managing the tin industry.

This partnership will increase production capacity and operational efficiency, as well as further open new access to wider international markets.

This cooperation agreement is also an effort to maintain the sustainability of the global tin industry and develop the national tin industry toward a Golden Indonesia 2045.

"This strategic collaboration marks a new chapter in the two companies' efforts to strengthen each other's company positions in the global market and provide maximum benefits for the national and global tin industry," he said.

Dani explained that one of the main focuses of this collaboration is the development of more advanced technology for the tin mining and processing process.

Meanwhile, Yunnan Tin President Luke Liu explained that this strategic agreement was to strengthen technical and cooperation in the mining sector, with a focus on mine development, exploration, mining and processing, tailings processing, and others.

The strategic cooperation agreement in the fields of business, technology, and other aspects of the future development process is expected to encourage complementary advantages for both parties and provide a positive and broad impact. In increasing the company's influence in the tin industry and encouraging the development of the global tin industry.
