WEST BANGKA -- During the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri, PT Timah distributed hundreds of sacrificial animals to communities in the company’s operational areas, including West Bangka Regency.
In addition to distributing sacrificial animals directly to communities through mosques and prayer rooms, PT Timah also provided sacrificial animals to various organizations and institutions in West Bangka.
The Head of the West Bangka Regency Government's Qurban Committee, Syafrizal, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for distributing sacrificial animals to the community this Eid al-Adha.
According to him, this donation is a form of joint synergy, where the sacrificial animals will be distributed to sanitation workers, contract employees, surrounding residents, and the qurban committee.
“Thank you for the donation of sacrificial animals which will be distributed to the community,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Qurban Committee at the Mentok KSOP (Port Authority), Abdul Rahman Fajrin, said that PT Timah’s sacrificial animals would be distributed to local communities.
“The sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk will be distributed to people around the office and residents near the Tanjung Kalian Port. We hope that PT Timah can further improve the local economy and continue supporting the people of West Bangka,” he said.
Similarly, the Head of Air Limau Village, Mexsi Diansah, said that the sacrificial animal assistance from PT Timah helped increase the number of animals to be distributed to residents.
“Many thanks to PT Timah for caring about the people in the village. With the addition of one cow from PT Timah, the mosque will now slaughter two cows. The residents are certainly very happy with this extra donation,” he said.
He hopes this collaboration will continue, so the community can keep benefiting from the company’s presence.
“Hopefully PT Timah can keep collaborating with Air Limau Village. We are open to any activities from PT Timah that can benefit the people. May PT Timah continue to thrive,” said Mexsi.
