Mass circumcision is the highlight of PT Timah's month of service activities, Risman is willing to wait so that his child can be circumcised for free

SOUTH BANGKA – The Mass Circumcision Program which was carried out in the context of PT Timah's Month of Service to welcome the Company's 48th Anniversary was enthusiastically welcomed by the residents of South Bangka.

A total of 114 participants took part in the mass circumcision held in the context of the Month of Service to welcome PT Timah's 48th anniversary which was held at the South Bangka Operations Regional Office, on Tuesday (25/6/24).

PT Timah's mass circumcision which is held every year is one of the programs that the community looks forward to. The residents of South Bangka are no exception.

This was expressed by Risman (48), one of the parents of the mass circumcision participants who said that PT Timah's Month of Service activity was an activity they had been looking forward to.

He was even willing to postpone having his child circumcised so he could take part in the mass circumcision held by PT Timah because it could reduce costs.

According to him, he originally planned to circumcise his child last year, but due to health conditions he could only do it this year.

"Thank God, this year Yuta was able to get circumcised, he was really looking forward to this mass circumcision activity from PT Timah, because since the registration was carried out almost every day he was counting the days when he would be circumcised and all of this was purely his own will," he said.

Furthermore, he said that he was confused when his son asked to be circumcised, especially in the midst of the family's poor economic conditions, so they refused to participate in a paid circumcision.

"Alhamdullilah, with this mass circumcision program from PT Timah we have been greatly helped. Hopefully PT Timah will continue to be successful, and can continue to help the community," said Risman.

Meanwhile, Haritno (39), a resident of Kampung Padang Village, Toboali Subdistrict, was also happy when he accompanied his son, Nanang Koyon (8) to take part in mass circumcision activities during the Month of Service.

“I am very happy with this Mass Circumcision activity because it is very helpful. "Last year we took our child to be circumcised, but he didn't want to, and thank God, now he wants to be circumcised, even though he was crying when he saw his other friends being hysterical, so he became hysterical too," said Haritno.

He also said that this activity was the activity he had been waiting for.

"We have been waiting for this mass circumcision activity, because in terms of costs, we are not burdened, plus there are many participants who take part, it is one of the attractions for our children who are interested in being circumcised," he said.

"Hopefully PT Timah will continue to be successful, and can continue to carry out activities like this in the years to come," he said. (*)
