BELITUNG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to youth development by supporting the Marching Creativity Competition (LKBB) for junior and senior high school students across Belitung Regency. The event is organized by the Purna Paskibraka Organization of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpandan for 2025.
The competition, which will be held on May 9, 2026, at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpandan, has now entered the registration phase, targeting students from both junior and senior high school levels.
Chairman of the LKBB Committee, Ibnu Alfahi Saputra, stated that the competition aims to enhance students’ creativity in marching drills, a field that has traditionally had limited competitive opportunities.
“Through this competition, we want to provide a platform for students to express their creativity in marching drills. It’s not just about marching, but also about showcasing formation variations and movement innovations,” he said.
He added that this is one of the newer LKBB events in Belitung and is expected to become a regular agenda that encourages the development of students’ quality and creativity in the region.
“We hope that with events like this, student creativity in Belitung will continue to grow and that more schools will participate in the future,” he added.
According to him, PT TIMAH’s support is very meaningful for ensuring the smooth implementation of the event, particularly in meeting budgetary needs.
“The assistance from PT TIMAH is very valuable to us. With this support, we can fulfill the competition’s equipment needs. It greatly helps ensure that the event runs well,” he explained.
He also expressed hope that support from various parties, including the business sector, will continue to provide more opportunities for students to develop their potential and creativity. (*)
