PT Timah realizes that the Biodiverse Forest is an important ecosystem for the survival of various species of flora and fauna to maintain the ecosystem for humans and other living creatures.
Muntok Kehati Forest, which is also Mentok City Forest, West Bangka Regency, is also an area managed by PT Timah so that its sustainability is maintained.
The Muntok Forest Area has an area of ??2.2 hectares which grows various endemic trees and is a place for flora and fauna in the area to live.
In the Muntok Forest, it is known that there are 61 types of flora such as laban, medang, pelempang, gaharu, forest guava, ketapang, small leaf acacia, mangrove, nipah, perepat, api-api and house pelawan.
As for fauna, in the Muntok Kehati Forest, there are 36 types of fauna, including the coconut sunbird, bond eagle, sriganti sunbird, river kingfisher, rice kareo, pig kekep, rock kite, blue eagle, red woodpecker, kadalan saweh, sambar deer, coconut squirrel, kelesak, pumpkin igik palm, kelik sulong, striped clothes fish and others.
