SOUTH BANGKA – Hundreds of employees of PT Timah Tbk together with the Director of Human Resources of PT Timah Tbk Yennita worked together to clean up trash at Nek Aji Beach, Ketapang Village, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, Friday (3/3/2023).
Cooperation is an effort to support the beauty of beach tourism in Toboali. This activity is also part of the Friday In Timah (FIT) series. Apart from cleaning the beach, health walks and sharing sessions were also held.
PT Timah Tbk HR Director Yennita explained, this FIT activity was accompanied by environmental care activities. One of them is by cleaning the surrounding environment, planting trees, and releasing fish.
“FIT activities are usually carried out once every three months. We carry out various activities such as exercising in the morning, and for Toboali we do environmental cleaning," she said.
She hopes that this beach cleaning activity can provide benefits, especially to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of Nek Aji Beach.
"This is one of our small contributions to the region, hopefully, this can have a positive impact," said Yennita.
Apart from cleaning the beach, this time FIT also held a sharing session between employees of PT Timah Tbk. So it is expected to increase collaboration and continue to care about the environment.
"I hope, with activities like this, we can be more collaborative. Because when we get together, it will certainly provide insight. Things like making us understand each other's roles and support each other," she said.
