CENTRAL BANGKA - PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car continues to provide health services for the community in the Company's operational areas. The presence of Healthy Cars is always welcomed enthusiastically by the public.
This time, the Healthy Car belonging to members of the MIND ID Tin Mining Industry Holding visited Baskara Bakti Village, Namang District, Bangka Belitung Regency, Tuesday (20/12/2022).
The people of Baskara Bakti Village flocked to get free health services which were carried out at the Baskara Bakti Village Office Yard.
One resident, Sura (58) couldn't feel the atmosphere of the healthy car consultation booth, because he had a stroke. So the doctor came and checked his health.
He said that he has been suffering from a stroke for four years, so far he has only relied on alternative medicine and has not had a medical examination.
"The doctor suggested doing further examinations at the hospital, but I had a problem, no one took me there. Moreover, the husband is no longer there," she said.
He is grateful to be able to get health services at PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car. He hoped that the pain would lessen.
"Alhamdullilah, I'm very happy to have been examined by a doctor, hopefully taking medicine from this healthy car, can reduce the pain I'm suffering from. Moreover, when I was sick, I had never taken medicine from a doctor," said Sura.
In the same vein, Zakaria (60) who said that he had had a stroke six years and had recently been treated at a hospital.
"I actually didn't want to have my health checked here, but after being told that PT Timah was organizing it, I wanted to join. Because if PT Timah had held it, the medicine would have been patented, and the service would have been very good," he said.
According to Zakaria, from the results of consultations with doctors, he was asked to return to continue treatment at the hospital and perform therapy to speed up his recovery.
It's the same with Rofisah (67), a resident who is also very happy with this free inspection service.
"Alhamdullilah with this free treatment, we are very happy. Of course, we are also very grateful, PT Timah is willing to carry out this activity in our village," said Rofisah.
Head of Baskara Bakti Village, Bahtiar Effendi said, the presence of PT Timah Tbk's Healthy car had been eagerly awaited by their residents. No wonder he said the community was so enthusiastic about joining health services.

He said that the distance to health services from their village is quite far, so it's not surprising that people are somewhat reluctant to carry out health checks at health facilities.
"Currently, the health facility is quite far, because we have to go to Namang District, which is approximately 7 KM distance that must be traveled. So with this healthy car, it can make a very close distance for residents to seek treatment," he stated.
