Lighten the Burden on Residents in the Midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, PT Timah Distributes 300 Food Packages for Karimun Residents

KARIMUN -- PT Timah Tbk with the Ministry of SOEs handed over 300 food packages for the people of Karimun Regency who were economically disadvantaged.

The delivery of the basic food packages coincided with the working visit of the Special Staff III of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga to Karimun Regency at the National building, Saturday (5/3/2022).

Hundreds of food packages were distributed directly to recipients from four sub-districts on the island of Karimun. The assistance was enthusiastically welcomed by the community, especially now that the economy in the Regency has not returned to normal since the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

This social assistance is expected to ease the community's economy ahead of Ramadan in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Where

Special Staff III of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga together with the General Manager of PT Timah Tbk handed over this food package assistance.

The assistance of the basic food packages was enthusiastically welcomed by the residents. Especially now that Karimun Regency is entering a difficult period, where Covid-19 is still hitting. In addition, the prices of basic commodities have started to rise.

One of the beneficiaries, Erni, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of SOEs and PT Timah for the food that was distributed.

"It is very helpful, especially in conditions like this. We are happy to get PT Timah's attention in the midst of a difficult economy," he said.

Sayuti also conveyed the same thing, according to him, PT Timah's attention to the community has been very large.
