PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to support the strengthening and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through various empowerment programs. One of the MSMEs receiving the company’s support is Roteni, a local entrepreneur who produces dishwashing soap under the brand name “Bunda Fresh.”
The support provided by PT TIMAH Tbk is not limited to capital assistance, but also includes mentoring to help complete business licensing requirements, an important step to enable MSMEs to grow legally, professionally, and sustainably.
Through its MSME development program, PT TIMAH Tbk is assisting Roteni, an MSME operator in Pangkalpinang City, in processing various permits, ranging from distribution permits and intellectual property rights to halal certification.
With complete licensing, Bunda Fresh products are expected to reach a wider market and improve competitiveness, thereby creating employment opportunities.

Roteni said she previously faced obstacles in marketing her products because she did not yet have a distribution permit. As a result, she could only sell her dishwashing soap to close acquaintances.
“I didn’t dare to market it widely because I didn’t have a distribution permit yet, so I only sold it to close friends, especially members of the women farmers group (KWT). But now the distribution permit is being processed with assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk, so later the product can be sold more broadly,” she said on Wednesday (1/14/2025).
She expressed her appreciation for the support from PT TIMAH Tbk, which has been very helpful in developing her business, especially in understanding the administrative licensing process that had previously been a challenge.
“With the support and mentoring from PT TIMAH Tbk, I am now able to complete licensing such as distribution permits, halal certification, and intellectual property rights. Everything is currently in process, and hopefully it will be completed in the near future,” she said.
“I am very grateful because this assistance is very important so our products can be marketed more widely and trusted by consumers. This will allow us to increase production and empower members of the KWT as well,” she added.
The MSME support program implemented by PT TIMAH Tbk is in line with the company’s commitment to promoting community economic empowerment in its operational areas. In addition to licensing assistance, the company also provides skills training, business mentoring, and facilitation of MSME product promotion.
