KARIMUN -- Kundur Park, located within the residential complex of PT TIMAH Tbk in the Riau Islands, has become one of the favorite destinations for residents who want to exercise or enjoy recreational activities.
This green open space is equipped with a mini zoo that houses various animals, including birds, deer, and several other species. There are also children’s playground facilities such as swings, slides, and other play equipment.

One of them is Nisa, a resident of Medan who was visiting and said she intentionally came to Kundur Park with her family on Monday (February 9, 2026). Despite having to travel 14 kilometers by motorcycle, she remained enthusiastic.
“In my opinion, as a first-time visitor, Kundur Park is peaceful and cool, perfect for relaxing with family or close friends,” she said.
According to her, facilities like this are still rare on Kundur Island, making Kundur Park an attractive recreational alternative for people of all ages, from children to adults.
“Kundur Park is quite complete for kids. There are slides, swings, and even deer. It’s my first time seeing deer in Kundur,” she added.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Rini, who came along with Nisa. She believes that the park managed by PT TIMAH Tbk provides added value for the community, especially since it is open to the public.
“In my opinion, Kundur Park is excellent for recreation on Kundur Island. People don’t always have to go to the beach; there are other options for entertainment,” she said.
Kundur Park is part of the company’s operational area that has been developed into a family-friendly public space, while also supporting biodiversity conservation through its mini zoo.
