KJUPPS Continues to Grow After Becoming a Foster Partner of PT Timah

WEST BANGKA -- The Peltim Sejahtera Pension Service Cooperative (KJPPS) continues to grow after becoming a fostered partner of PT Timah Tbk. Cooperative members also continue to grow every year.

PT Timah Tbk also involves the Peltim Sejahtera Pension Service Cooperative as a business partner of PT Timah Tbk so that the cooperative can continue to grow.

The cooperative, which was established in September 2019, has around 120 members with an organizational structure of retired employee management.

The success of this cooperative can also be seen by being able to distribute SHU each year to cooperative members.

Chairman of the Peltim Prosperous Pension Service Cooperative (KJPPS) Hamdan Rastam said the business he leads continues to grow thanks to the guidance and cooperation with PT Timah.

"According to the license registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the KJUPPS business is a goods and service procurement cooperative. After receiving a business capital loan from PT Timah's PUMK, the cooperative also runs side businesses such as raw materials, operational support, and construction," he said.

According to Hamdan, PT Timah is very supportive of the development of their cooperative business.

"Our hope, as management of KJUPP, PT Timah will continue to exist and progress, be able to continue to support KJPPS, and work together in the cooperative sector," he said.

Cooperative member Achmad Syafei admits many benefits to being a member of the KJUPPS cooperative.

"There are so many benefits to being a member of KJUPPS, even though we only save 20 thousand a month, we get welfare, SHU is quite large for us, and we get gifts, groceries, Ramadan packages, and many more," he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by H. Sobri Murod, he hoped Cooperative would continue to develop.

"We hope the cooperative can develop because it helps PT Timah employees who have undergone retirement. Apart from PT Timah, we hope that cooperatives can work together with all parties," he said

The chairman of the PT Timah re Muntok Retired Employees Association, H. Bchtiar Harahap, who is also a member of the KJUPPS, said that apart from the welfare of the members, the progress of the Cooperative can absorb jobs.

"Thanks to the good performance of the management and giving positive results for members. In addition to welfare, it also adds to employment," he said. (**)
