BANGKA BARAT – As part of its commitment to fostering a culture of Occupational Health and Safety (K3), PT Timah held the National K3 Month Grand Assembly under the theme "Strengthening Human Resource Capacity to Support the Implementation of Mining Safety Management Systems (SMKP) for Productivity." The event took place at Wisma Majapahit Mentok on Monday (20/1/2025).
In addition to the National K3 Month Grand Assembly, PT Timah also organized a signing of a joint commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (K3) as part of the National K3 Month commemoration.
The Operational and Production Director of PT Timah Tbk, Nur Adi Kuncoro, served as the inspector for the Grand K3 Assembly and delivered the message from the Minister of Manpower, Prof. Yassierli, Ph.D.
In the message read by the assembly inspector, the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that the theme of this year's National K3 Month aligns with President Prabowo's Asta Cita vision to realize a sovereign, advanced, and prosperous Indonesia through the development of superior and productive human resources.
"This theme becomes even more meaningful because, in the Asta Cita vision, President Prabowo also highlights the importance of worker welfare as one of the main pillars for achieving the nation's economic sovereignty," Nur Adi stated, reading the Minister's message.
Concluding the message, the Minister of Manpower expressed hope that this year's National K3 Month commemoration would be embraced meaningfully by all stakeholders, synergizing to prioritize K3 as a key aspect of work.
The National K3 Grand Assembly was also attended by the West Bangka Regent, represented by Drs. Heru Warsito, Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs, along with West Bangka Forkopimda members, PT Timah employees from various divisions, and stakeholders.
