PANGKALPINANG -- After going through a series of tests, 36 students were declared to have passed the selection interviews, psychological tests and academic ability tests, psychological analysis, and document validation of the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
The students who passed consisted of 21 students from Bangka Island, 7 students from Belitung Island, 5 students from Karimun Regency, and 3 students from Meranti Regency.
Even though they have passed this stage, students who pass still have to take a medical test which will be held on June 4-6.
For participants who do not take the medical test will be considered failed. In addition, if students are declared not to have passed the medical test, then those who have the right to replace them are prospective students who are recommended by the Psychological Team of the Center for Psychological Innovation, University of Padjadjaran (PIP UNPAD).
Before carrying out the medical test, students must also follow several requirements that have been announced, such as fasting from 22.00 WIB until the next day's blood test, not taking medication the day before or before the health check and being free from exposure to noise within 24 hours.
One of the students who passed, Nabila Safira from SMPN 1 Kelapa Bangka Barat said she was very grateful to be able to pass this test. Even though she still has to take one more step to be declared to have passed the PT PT Timah Tbk scholarship class selection program.
"Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful, because I hoped to be able to pass the scholarship. I convinced myself from the start that I had to graduate. So I tried, prayed, and studied since the announcement that I had passed the administrative selection," said Nabila.
She said she was nervous waiting for the test results because the competition was quite tight and the test questions were not easy. Nevertheless, she was very happy.
"I am determined to be able to graduate because I want to help ease the burden on my parents for my education. Not only me, but my parents also really hope that I can graduate. Maybe this is all helped by the prayers of my parents," she said.
According to Nabila, she will continue to strive to pass the test until the end. She said being able to get this scholarship class program would not only help her economically but also develop and improve her abilities and add to her relationships.
Similar to Hikmal Hamsyah, this student from Sungailiat also admitted that he was very happy to be able to go through the stages of this test.
"Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be able to pass this test. There is still one more test that must be overcome and this also requires preparation, like sports," he said.
According to this SMPN 4 Sungailiat student, it is an honor to be accepted into this scholarship class program.
"I hope to pass, apart from trying, praying, and preparing myself I also vowed that if I could graduate until the end I would fast Monday and Thursday," he said. (*)

- Bangka Regency, West Bangka, Central Bangka, South Bangka, Pangkalpinang City on June 6 at Arsani Hospital
- Karimun Regency on June 6 at the Bakti Timah Hospital - Tanjung Balai Karimun
