BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance to support the Kwartir Scout Movement of the Bangka Branch which will take part in the XI National Jamboree of 2022 which will be held on August 14-21, 2022 at the Cibubur Campground.
This assistance was received directly by the Chairperson of the Bangka Branch of the Scout Scout Movement, Yusmiati Mulkan at the release of the XI National Jamboree of the Bangka Branch of the Scout Scout Movement at the Bangka Regent's Office, Monday (8/8/2022).
Secretary of the Bangka Branch of Kwartir Scout Movement, Hari Subari said, this year Kwarcab Bangka will send eight members of the Boy Scouts and eight members of the Girl Scouts who will be dispatched on Friday (12/8/2022).
According to Hari, the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk will be used to assist the contingent's departing equipment such as uniforms and other necessities.
"We would like to thank PT Timah Tbk for assisting in the departure of the Kwartir Scout Movement of the Bangka Branch in the XI National Jamboree," he said.
He said that the National Jamboree is an event every five years so through this event it is hoped that the representatives of the contingent from the Kwartir Branch of Bangka can take advantage of this opportunity well.
Previously, to determine which members would be sent to the XI National Jamboree, his party conducted an open selection, as many as 86 participants took part in this selection. However, they only chose 16 people because the technical instructions from the committee for each branch quarter were only allowed to send eight male raisers and eight female raisers.
"This assistance from PT Timah Tbk will be used for uniforms and other equipment needed by the contingent. There later our children will gather with the scout movement from all over Indonesia, which of course will be an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience," he said.
He said the Bangka Branch Kwartir Scout Movement often synergizes with PT Timah Tbk to carry out various activities. He assessed that PT Timah Tbk had participated in creating strong young cadres in the future.
"We are often assisted in other events, such as the year-end camp for the quarterly Bangka branch, which is also assisted by PT Timah Tbk. In environmental management activities, tree and mangrove planting, scout members are also often involved. We hope that this synergy can continue," he said.
