WEST BANGKA -- Employees of PT Timah Tbk at the Muntok Metallurgy Unit distributed food packages to people in need in the Tanjung Pakdan area, Rubiah Bay, Muntok District, Bangka Barat Regency, Friday (24/2/2023).
The distribution of basic food items is part of PT Timah Tbk Sharing' Santuy Street activities. In this activity, the Tin Employees walk through the settlements to assist those in need.
Residents of Tanjung Pakdan Edi said they were happy to receive assistance from PT Timah. He admitted that he often received PT Timah's assistance.
"Alhamdulillah, this morning we received a fortune from PT Timah. PT Timah cares about residents in the company's production area, so far we have been assisted four times by PT Timah," he said.
Edi (60) works odd jobs, admitting that he planted mangroves on the beach in front of his house to prevent abrasion and air pollution.
"Thank you to PT Timah, which continues to care for residents. Good luck, more progress, and glory," he said.
In the same vein, Taibah (77), a resident of Tanjung Pakdan, was grateful to receive food packages from PT Timah Tbk.
"Grateful, when living alone there are still people who help grandma. It is very helpful what is given by PT Timah. Thank you. I hope the employees and PT Timah are always healthy, and more advanced," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Muntok Sukandi sub-district appreciated PT Timah Berbagi's Jalan Santuy activity.
