BANGKA -- Supporting environmentally conscious learning and empowering the younger generation, PT Timah is again presenting the Ecoprint training program for students in PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School Program.
The ecoprint training with the theme 'Efforts to Build Environmentally Based Student Creativity and Entrepreneurship' was held at the Pemali Boarding School PT Timah Multi-Purpose Dormitory Building on Saturday (10/8/2024).
In collaboration with V-Print, 72 PT Timah Pemali Boarding School students took part in ecoprint training to improve students skills in making batik crafts.
The students were also enthusiastic about practicing making eco-print batik by using leaves as motifs. Everyone follows the exemplary process to produce beautiful batik cloth.

"The new thing I learned from this training is how to make eco-prints that use materials such as fabric and leaves which are very environmentally friendly," he said.
According to him, this training can be used as a business opportunity because it has many values, such as being environmentally friendly, and easy to make, and each product has a pattern or motif that is definitely different so it has a very strong competitive edge.
"I feel interested in developing this eco-print because this environmentally friendly product can preserve nature and reduce goods that are not environmentally friendly. I really hope that PT Timah will often hold training like this because there are many benefits," he said.
Likewise, Muhamad Revaldi Rahman said that this training teaches them to create works that are environmentally friendly and have high sales value, and can be developed in the future. en.
"From this training, I learned about the fact that beautiful things (dyes) don't all have to come from chemicals but can also use natural ingredients (leaves) and are environmentally friendly," he said.
For him, the process of making ecoprints is unique and easy enough for beginners to do but has a high selling value.
"Hopefully PT Timah can continue to hold activities like this again for us and young people so that it can change the monotonous mindset of young people regarding work and can develop thinking patterns and creativity," he said. (*)
