BANGKA – PT Timah Tbk has provided assistance to the Independent MSME Group in Puding Besar, Bangka Regency. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to support the development and independence of MSME groups.
Through this support, PT Timah hopes to enhance the self-reliance of the Independent MSME Group in Puding Besar and stimulate the local economy.
The financial assistance was handed over to the Chairperson of the Independent MSME Group in Puding Besar Subdistrict, Bangka Barat Regency, Rofida Pratiwi, last Friday.
Rofida expressed her gratitude for the financial aid from PT Timah, stating that the funds will be used to purchase baking equipment, expand their kitchen facilities, and acquire other tools to support their business operations.
"Alhamdulillah, PT Timah has granted our request for support for our business group. We plan to use the funds to purchase an oven, mixer, refrigerator, jumbo freezer, frying pans, and large steamers. With these additional tools, we hope our group can become even more independent," said Rofida.
As the group leader, Rofida envisions that their MSME group will grow more independent and increase production, ultimately improving the welfare of its members.
"I remember starting this business by making nastar cookies. After inviting some friends to join and forming this group, our production of dry cookies grew, and we added more variations like Cashew Pies, Chocolate Balls, Kastengel, Lidah Kucing, Lapis Legit, Bolu Remang, and other custom orders based on customer requests," she explained.
The Independent MSME Group doesn’t just sell dry and sponge cakes; they also offer catering dishes.
"We also provide dishes for large events. We produce marinated chicken, marinated catfish, marinated mussels, and other menu items that we sell at our stall or customize according to customer orders."
Rofida expressed her gratitude to PT Timah for supporting their business group, which has motivated her to be more creative and self-reliant.
"We are very grateful for this assistance and thank PT Timah because it is extremely beneficial for all of us," she said.
The former kindergarten teacher also hopes for PT Timah’s continued success.
"May PT Timah continue to thrive and grow, so it can support other business groups in achieving success together," Rofida concluded. (*)
