Increasingly Alluring and Known, PT Timah Tbk's Selinssing Reclamation Kampoeng Visited by 5,000 People in 2022

EAST BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk's Selinsing Reclamation Village in Selinsing Village, Gantung District, East Belitung Regency recorded the number of visitors in 2022 reaching 5,000 people.

It is not surprising that Kampoeng Reclamation Selinsing, which is managed by PT Timah Tbk together with BUMDes Selinsing, has become one of the tourist destinations with the concept of agro edu ecotourism that is of interest to the public.

The charm of Kampong Reclamation as a former mining area that was transformed into an integrated tourist area has become a tourist destination when visiting East Belitung.

"The total number of visitors who recorded tickets, and not recorded tickets, was around 5,000 people," said the Head of BUMDes Selinsing, Diki Apriansyah.

According to Diki, the average visitor is from the local community of Belitung Island, namely Beltim and Belitung.

However, there are also tourists from outside Belitung Island, but the number is still not too many.

"The average visitor is still the local East Belitung community, although there are some from Belitung," said Diki.

Diki explained, so far the facilities provided by them were quite complete, thus increasing the number of tourists visiting.

Because, at that location there is a prayer room, canteen, water rides for duck bikes, trampolines, photo spots and others.

"The activities that are often carried out are of course taking pictures, picnicking with family and just relaxing to enjoy the natural atmosphere in the Reclamation Village," he explained.

So said Diki, Kampong Reclamation is currently the people's choice when in Beltim to travel and relax with family. Especially the holiday season or weekends.

"Yes, especially during the school holiday season, there are many tourists from Belitung Regency," he said.

The existence of tourist sites that have an impact on the economy of the surrounding community. Because they estimate the circulation of money to reach millions per month and absorb the workforce of the surrounding community.

"For now, the estimated turnover of money from tickets, canteens and water rides is around Rp. 2 to Rp. 5 million per month, for the current workforce absorption there are around 15 people," he stated.
