Increasing Security at Marine WIUP, President Director of PT Timah Signs Cooperation with Head of Earth Station Bakamla Babel 

PANGKALPINANG - To increase security in the company's operational areas and support the smooth running of the company's business processes. PT Timah continues to collaborate with various parties.

President Director of PT Timah Ahmad Dani Virsal and Head of Bangka Belitung Earth Station Bakamla RI, Marine Lt. Col. Setya Budi Wiranto signed a Joint Agreement between PT Timah and the Bangka Belitung Islands Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) regarding guidance and security in PT's Mining Business Permit Area (WIUP)—Timah Tbk in the marine waters of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

This Joint Agreement Document was signed at Graha Timah Pangkalpinang, on Monday (29/7/2024).

Head of the Indonesian Bakamla Bangka Belitung Earth Station, Marine Lieutenant Colonel Setya Budi Wiranto, said that he appreciated the synergy and collaboration that had been built between PT Timah and Bakamla Babel.

"Thank you for the trust in this shared duty and responsibility. We will provide good progress for mutual improvement because what we do must be accountable to the state," he said.

Meanwhile, PT Timah President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal said, this collaboration is a form of synergy and collaboration in supporting PT Timah's performance.

"Hopefully it will provide benefits for all of us, for the nation and state. We cannot work alone, we have to synergize, collaborate, join hands, fill, and provide benefits for everyone," he said.

According to Dani, PT Timah has a fairly large Mining Business Permit Area (WIUP). So it is necessary to collaborate with various parties to secure PT Timah's IUP both on land and at sea.

Dani said that tin is a mineral gifted by God that must be used wisely to minimize its environmental impact.

"Thank you for your help, hopefully, the initial meeting will provide mutual benefits for the nation, state, and society, as well as the region," he said. (*)
